Elbrus Fast Climb from South Side (6 days)
For those who do not have much time, but are strong, experienced climbers and have been climbing at 5000 m or higher before, we have designed this short climbing program following the normal route from the South side.
Your endurance and fitness are essential for success on this climb, and you should train really hard, exercising outside or in the fitness studio or, even better, in the mountains.
It is necessary to arrive in Elbrus area already with some acclimatization. You should have climbed up to at least 3500 m and stayed overnight at this altitude not long before your arrival in Elbrus area, otherwise summit chances will be very low.
There is no reserve day scheduled for this program. In order to have some reserve we strongly recommend to book your flight back home from Mineralnye Vody airport in the late evening of day 6 or early morning the next day. Best time: mid April - October Dates 2020:
